Educators engage in professional learning.

During my practicum I had an amazing opportunity to attend a workshop on a Non-Instructional Day. I attended a workshop titled EASE which I got to learn about students who are anxious and express symptoms and students who might not express the regular symptoms but still might be feeling anxiety. I learned some strategies that could help while interacting with a student who feels anxious. I think it was extremely helpful to attend the workshop with my coaching teacher because then we were able to discuss each section and take the learning step by step. We were also able to both identify some students who we thought might be anxious and then had some strategies in our back pockets to use on the students who we thought might need it. I feel grateful as a future teacher to participate in professional learning that will someday help me in my future classroom.
